  • MCX2 rotor blade issue

    Hi all

I received my Blade MCX2 yesterday, and I flew it last night and when I came home from work today. After a crash with the floor, I noticed the lower blades spinning intermittently rather than constantly like the upper blades. I had not noticed this before the crash. I am saving for a DX6i, so I am using the TX from my MSR and I currently have a horrible TBE going because of my inexperience with these transmitters, with flying, and how everything works. I can't even understand most of the terminology you lot on this forum uses. I have a book called electric helicopters and several PDFs I have found on the Internet, so I am learning...it surely takes time tho!

I have checked the gears and motors, and there are no clogs around the shaft or blades. I really hope that I have not done something to my favourite heli only after two days! The blades are not scratched, nicked or bent in any way. The only bend I can see is the main frame where the canopy is connected on the lower right. It is not near anything else tho. The fliybar also looks ok. All LEDs work, including the 5 in 1 board light. My concern is I have read that these helis do suffer with dodgy 5 in 1 boards...all controls seem to work tho. I am also allowing the batteries and motors to cool after flying, which is a living nightmare because I really want to fly constantly.

    Have I done something wrong?

I apologise for this, as I feel I should know what I am doing, as all of you do.

    Thanks for your help

I should not let my mind wander...it is too small and fragile to be let out by itself

I have the same thing with mine, did you resolve it? Both rotors do it, intermittently. Reading up - is this the famous 'death roll'?
