  • An ESC that works?

Hi can anyone recommend a decent easily programmable ESC for a 450se looking around £25 seen some on giant cod but still don't know what's good and what's not? Bought in haste before running it past you guys a copterx ESC with BEC and after reading a review not so keen on using it as it overheats easily!!, also a motor although not so important

    Thanks

    Steve

        Align 35A RCE-BL35X.
Has a superb soft start (A must IMO) and built in BEC

Never tried any of the Giant cod ESC's though. Might be worth you having a look and checking out some of the reviews.

Agree with tiddler, although my experience was with the Align 60Amp, and heard very few issues with the Align 35Amp's despite there being a heck of a lot in circulation over the years.

Basic ESC's, easy to program with a great softstart as mentioned- should see you good for a fair while.

I'm all for saving as much as possible, am a right tightwad me But tbh I reckon the Align ESC is well worth the money. 35A Brushless ESC(Governer Mode) RCE-BL35X K10304TA - Electronics ESC - ALIGN-TREX.co.uk, Specialist supplier of kits and spares in RC Helicopters

Or keep an eye on ebay. Saw one go on there last week for about £14.00ish

The stock SE motor (the Align 430L) will be fine, but as you already have a motor I would go with that for now and see how it performs first. You might want to experiment with different pinions though. Would suggest getting an 11t, a 12T and a 13T
