  • gyro?

    hi
can anyone recommend a gyro in the region of £30 for a trex helios 450se i know its not going to be in the same class as the spartan or the futaba gy401 but just need to know the better ones of the bunch in that price range,

    many thanks

The Phoenixtech GT9 is meant to be pretty good but a little fiddly to set up apparently >>> GT9 Gyro

I would still recommend trying to get your hands on a Spartan DS760 (First choice) or an Align GP750 if you can. Having a good gyro makes a big difference to the handling of the heli and is well worth spending a little extra on right from the outset. The GY401 is OK (If a little dated now) But the DS760 is just excellent. There are some things you can get away with by going cheaper, but the gyro needs to be a goodun from the start IMO

      hi Steve

you may be able to find a GP750 for that much plus a bit of postage, you may even get lucky and get a 401 for that, but both usually go for closer to £40

failing that a CSM420 would be fine

Phoenixtech GT9 I'd say for the money. OK its a bit fiddly setting the end limits but its not that hard.

As long as the servo movement is sufficient IE ball position on horn then the limits are no problem.
