    Set her up so you have your positive pitch available, but with limited negative pitch - in fact, if any at all. Far better to float down if you slam the throttle shut than have it screw itself into the ground. Get it light on the skids first, and get a feel for cyclic and tail. Then little hops (easy on throttle/pitch) maybe 12" high. Then go for sustained hover. Then hover and start to slowly move forwards, walking along behind it.

    That should keep you busy for a while

          the hawk is pretty nasty in a lot of ways. (dont start i cant be bothered going into all that again.

          the biggest problem is that its not cheap enough to be worthwhile. the raptor 30 is a much much better model and not a massive amount (by todays standards) more expensive.

          its worth having a look at this list too when looking for a club
