  • How Can i Make my Ef sabre work with My dx6i?

    hi guys

i have just started out with rc heli's and have a msr (fantastic fun) and dx6i dsmx transmitter + pheonix sim.

i also have a ef sabre that my dad had in his garage and gave me, it comes ready to fly with it transmitter. But as i have paid out alot for the dx6i, can i get the sabre to fly with this.

do i need to just fit a spektrum reciever? which one (simple cheapest proberly best for this heli)? and will it even fit? and then would it be bind and fly to my tx.

    hope you can help.

i think you should be good with just getting a spektrum rx. the other members will tell you which one (i am still on 35mhz)
    maybe an AR6200 rx?

If it's not that big, you could go with one of the orange clone receivers which are cheap as chips and work really well.
      Cheers,

Look on giant cod for the orange clone receivers. They are about £7 or so

Yeah the orange recievers seem to be pretty good - but if you and to keep it Spektrum - go for a AR6100

so , its just a matter of unplug the current reciever and slot one of these in. then just bind it, like i did with my msr.

just noticed this. it has a EF-4-in-1 Parts Circuit Board - Sabre Receiver/ESC/Gyro so can i not do want i intended to do

If I were you I would have a go as is, you could end up spending a lot of cash on something that just aint worth it - sentimental value shouldnt override common sense, if you get on with it ok as is then whats the point spending?
Your dx6i will be ok for when you go for bigger better helis so you still have a good investment for the future.
                  Have fun and enjoy
