  • Grey hair, now a new TREX 450!

Pick up my new TREX 450 (ready built) and TR tomorrow from Fast Lad.
All I need now is a flying field and a patient trainer!
Local clubs seem to be interested in helping me set it up (which Fast Lad has done), but I can't find any who offer tuition (free or at a price).
    Any Ideas, please.
    Vale of York area.

Hi mike, If u can buy pheonix sim and have a few weeks practice on it before using Yr model it will save u money in the long run, also would give a thumbs up for training gear, has certainly helped me anyway

+1 for the phoenix sim. Have you flown a rc heli before?

Couldn't agree more about getting the sim. Also a strcutured training regime will help with the sim. It's so easy to get frustrated and just want to "zoom" around the sky so to speak but before you have some fun on the sim really concentrate on the hovering. It will pay dividends!

Exactly what I find. I have XTR not reflex ( atm......) but have the motor run time set to 8 min and try to stick to hovering 2 batteries then having a play, and repeat as often as my self control will allow. lol.

You can't go wrong with the sim, it would save you loads in crash repairs.
