  • Tuition required!

Is there anyone within a 20 mile radius of Halesowen West Mids who does tuition? Don't mind paying for it or joining a club; atm I've not been motivated enough to finish building my TT325 because I've not had much success flying anything bigger than my msr, on Phoenix I'm relatively ok until I get bored and start doing the good stuff lol almost instant crashes.
I got Suki a few days ago and have been doing some fair 3D with it, but I did fly gliders years ago.
Any help would be really appreciated.
    Thanks
    D

Try our club website in my sig, it's actually around 24 miles (I also live in Halesowen) but basically just a trip down the M5. We've got a wide range of ability within the club and quite a few who could help you with setup and tuition. Pop down on a Sunday, you'll be made welcome & bring something along to fly if you want, we are pretty free & easy but will need BMFA & club fees are around due at the moment.

Would love to come if I can arrange it with her indoors LOL; just the job for me - I've already got BMFA because I've been to a couple of meets at Haden Hill leisure centre and Modelcraze, so it would be just Club fees.
        Thanks

I used to frequent the Kingswinford indoor occasionally, sadly now gone but haven't been to Haden Hill for yonks.

Give her indoors arm a twist and pop down one Sunday morning, if it's not a howling gale or pouring with rain you will find a few of us there from 10:00am, I've flown the last 3 Sundays myself but I was the only one there for the two Sundays prior to last week!

I've just helped a new member who's recently started with setup on his Raptor 50 and TT325 and we've managed to get him into the air without too many problems, as a whole group chances are someone has had or owns most heli's on the market.

Already spoken to her, I think she's happier that I'm joining a club so I can have somewhere safe to fly. I'm in the process of putting my TT325 together, built the airframe up and got all of the bits to complete it, so it shouldn't take me long once I'm sure I've got somewhere to use it safely. I can fly on the bottom field of the Caravan site we're on, but I don't want to go it alone.
            Looking forward to seeing you,

Been to Himbleton today, found it interesting to say the least! I thought my TT325 was big (it is compared to what I'm used to) but seeing a 600 and 700 made me realise it's tiny! lol.
It looks like this is the right thing for me to do so need to get my heli finished & set up; will now be in progress instead of on hold.
SRH990 need to get in touch to find out what to do next.
              Thanks

Sorry I wasn't there yesterday myself, I was at Weston Park all weekend camping with our two lads, glad you got the chance to see some of the other lads flying, typical that we get probably the best flying weather in nearly 2 months and I'm not flying at all!

If you have any queries or require any info don't hesitate to PM me, I'm obviously not far away from you so we could even have a chat if you want.

Only 35mph gusts to contend with! otherwise great weather for flying...!

                  Darrell,

It was good to meet you yesterday! Pity we didn't have more flyers down the field, but the weather and the Weston Park event played its part in that!

To reiterate Steve's (SRH990) comments, you are more than welcome to visit us again and I'm sure we can get you and your helicopter flying in no time at all......

                  Cheers,

                  Lee.

I am sure I will come again, must try to get my heli put together though, it was good to see how things are out there - I thought my TT325 was quite big lol obviously not!!
Wifey saw that dreaded gleam in my eyes and I think she knows for sure that it wont be too long before I start hankering after a bigun!
                    See you again soon
