  • Dumb thumbed it

Last night after the rain had stopped and dried up a bit it was wind free for the first time in about 10 days; dilema, had 1/2 bottle of wine with dinner.......oh bu993r it, that was about an hour ago.
About 3/4 was through first pack bit of a breeze must have caught it and was heading towards the road. Panic reaction hit cyclic to make it stop.....well and truly overcorrected, slammed it sideways into dirt.
Skids broke, 1 blade broke, canopy wrecked, tail boom support come off but not broke.
Fortunately spares are cheap £15 total, but done a heath robinson fix - skids cotton skrim + araldite, canopy sellotape inside + out, already had 1 spare blade from last mishap..... end result not pretty but functional, well it is only an Evo180se!!!
Moral of this don't drink and fly helis it could cost serious bucks and someone could get hurt!

I was trying nose in and got it a bit wrong I already had a lot of the parts but it was basically a re-kit to repair. Even took out one of the servos, but I had another that I'd managed to snap the servo horn screw in the top gear so I swapped those two around to get a working servo out of the two.

All rebuilt other than fitting the ESC and motor and setting up now. But haven't been able to do that yet.
