lipo charging problem

        Hi, had the same issue with 6s lipos in my 500esp. Charger would only recognise 5 cells, but would still seem to charge ok. Turned out I was running them down too low in flight, so I used the tx timer and reduced flight times, and have had no issues since.

          yep, think u just hit the nail on the head there, i had been messing around setting up for last few days and didnt realise how low the batt had got, ill watch out for that now

            Exactly as i mentioned - one of the cells was too far out to read so it couldnt detect it as a 3s only a 2s. But because of the way they are wired you can't charge one without the other so when you charge the pack all 3 cells charge regardless of the error. In your case you stopped checked (correct thing to do) and now it shows as a 3S.

            What you need to make sure is that it balances perfectly - this comes down to the quality of your charger and its balancing ability. I've seen chargers balance perfectly but 2x cells above and the other way below by the end of the charge but it would still calculate the full charge value correctly.

              well i only have a turnigy accucel 6 and its showing that all 3 cells now have 4.20 in each of them
