  • Reasonable priced battery charger

Hi, at the moment I've got a Century charger that will charge 2 cell and 3 cell batteries @ 0.8 amp, it takes ages to charge the 2 cell 1000mah for my Evo - now I've got 3 cell 2200mah's to charge I dread to think how long it will take!
Can anyone recommend a charger yhat doesn't cost an arm & leg that will do the job (hopefully a tad faster).
    Thanks
    Darrell

Cheapest option will be to get one of the Imax/Polimax/turnigy B6 chargers.. does multi chemistry 6 cells up to 5A less than £15+ P&P from Ebay and you can get the built in AC versions now to charge off a wall socket without a psu

I think you should get the hitech x4, and then let me know if its any good so I can then get one :-), but at £127 its not cheap.

Its basically what I posted but 4 units in one and they are quite big units.. still the 50w per channel which aint the greatest considering your paying £127 for it.. the OP asked for reasonable charger thus that suggestion. You might aswell spend that £127 on a decent single charger.. plenty of really good ones at that budget like the cellpro, voltz, hyperion etc

OK guys, I think I'll wait until I get paid next month - spent £160 yesterday on electrics for TT, may as well get something better; in view of this any suggestions?

I've been using a Graupner 16s which has been great. Runs off the mains and really easy to use. Has been happily charging my 4s packs at just over 1c with no problems.

Having said that I'm upgrading to a PL8 now as the Graupner wont charge the big 6s packs for my 600 in a reasonable time.

Thanks Pete, had a look and looks good to me, probably be all I will ever need - unless I get the itch for something bigger :-)
You're up bright and early for a sunday morning, I assume it could have something to do with young offspring LOL

Lol Pete, I know that feeling, I've been up since 6, and my boy is 3 1/2, right pain in the bottom,

Charger wise, it really does depend on cost, I've been charging 6s packs from a cheapo turnigy charger, they do take about an hour each though, so I myself feel a better charger coming on, for upto 4s have you looked at the cellpro multi 4?
