Energy of the wind was dissipated over croydon first :-) (which is weird since it was coming from the south!)

Well one things for sure if you don't get out and fly when it's windy you are not going to get much flying in, our club instructor always says " the helicopter doesn't know it's windy" I will be honest and say that the bigger helis fly better in a strong wind, but it all comes down to you at the end of the day, stay at home and moan or get out and get some stick time in.

Heli might not know it's windy but it sure behaves as if it does.
Don't mind upto 15mph but after that the alert vibrator on my wallet goes off, new function on telemetry, found it very useful.

Having just mastered FFF with all 3 (exclude the 450) - I daren't risk wind like we are having here in South Lincs. It's ok when it blows steadily, but we are getting massive gusts that are way too strong. Catch one like that at take-off or landing and I can see a FL bill coming fast lads:-)

At least it's good for kite flying, found my old 3/4 jam session lurking in the corner of the wardrobe so took it out to the coast yesterday, i've forgotten how much that thing pulled with a 7ft wingspan, i've got arms like an orangutang!
found a new field on a recce today too, about 20 acres of hay meadow just down the road, haven't dared fly the mini titan since the last episode in the garden, so this'll do nicely as it's virtually in the middle of nowhere
