  • Yeah - I binned it!

Well I am proud to announce i have had my first crash!

After clocking up a few hours on RC sim, I thought i could rule the world, take the orange balls off and start some real flying.

In fact all was going well, made a basic error and kaboom - in the dirt!

    Damage assessment:
    -Swash plate broken
    -link rods broken
    -new fly arm rod
    -possibly a new gyro

However - the limited time i had in the air was awesome and was well worth the pain of a few new parts!! Picture below:-

    Welcome to the club.

Bummer mate. Now you know what it feels like, it won't be so bad when the next one comes along, you'll just do the fist shaking at the sky, pick up the bits,go home, fix it, then get back on the horse. As you said my friend, whilst it was going well, it was worth it -what a buzz ! Good luck on the next outing.

Trex 450 SEV2, hack, freeby, but getting expensive. Binned the bu**er !

mCPX, better than a Phoenix anyday.
    Several planks, gathering dust.

Brains and thumbs work okay, but not at the same time.

Congrats, I recently did the same - all part of the earning curve and fun! To be fair, crashing ones heli is no where near as painful as listening to the Eurovision song contest.... god I wish it was light with no wind to go flying!

Cheers guys. I am also feeling the pain on eurovision!! Ouch!!

I'll probably price up the damage tomorrow-this is going to be an expensive hobby! Beats DIY!

            Yep Sir!
This is the difference between Sim and real world.
            And you are real now.
            :-)
But everything is better then this f****** TV.
I was out yesterday with my F3A plane fired 2 litres of fuel.
            Awesome!
