Hi i'm a newbie to helis and this forum.

I know there is probably lots about this on this forum but I just cant find it. So here is my question - Can anyone tell me how to setup my blade 400 so that it is mechanicly correct? I hear lots of people saying that if your heli is not set up right it can very soon lead to crashes and I really dont want to crash my b400. Any help would be great and attached documents would be even better.

    David.

Search YouTube for Blade 400 setup, there's plenty there.

      Hey Dave and welcome!

The guy you want to search for on youtube is Sokal11. He has all the videos you will need, he got me through my Blade days too. Here is part 1 of the head setup vid:

There's lots of stuff to learn, but to begin with your Blade 400 should be setup ok. It might need to be trimmed before you fly it. Its a good idea to get someone to check it out before you fly it. If you haven't flown before there are easier and cheaper ways to learn than a Blade 400.

The only problem I have with the setup is centering the g110 gyro. Sokal says something about flicking the switch to rate mode a few times and that should program a new center on the gyro but mine just keeps going back to where it thinks is centre. Has anyone centered the blade 400's gyro before and ,if so, can you tell me how?

            Thanks David.

Some gyros allow you to set the no turn position on switch on and with a switch flicking. It depends on the gyro. Some use a fixed position. I don't think there's a general rule.
