Helicopter Simulators

hey i downloaded FMS which was a free helicopter simulator, you can connect transmitters up to it and for this you need a cable which can be made instead of bought (watch this space) and obviously you need a compatible transmitter.
now my questions is that my transmitter has an output to connect another "trainer" transmitter on it, do i just use that output for simulator cable?? Or is it just not new enough?? BTW it is a Futaba field force 7 super, fp-7ups, pcm 1024.

I used to make up cables for FMS for my old FF6, I'm assuming that the FF7 uses is it a 9 pin socket at the back of the transmitter box, do you have the wiring diagram, if not PM me your e-mail address and I'll send one over.

Why wont CSM V10 work on windows XP?

CSM OM WINDOWS XP
This operating system causes an immediate problem when running the sim software, as it won't allow the detection of the simulator interface. This is due to the computer being run in protected mode, and will not allow a DOS application to have direct communication with any of the peripheral ports. We now have a fix available that solves this in most cases, but it is necessary to download and install a new version of the simulator software. The complete modified sim software is available as a zipped file that will need extracting with the usual PkZip for Windows or WinZip utilities. Just extract it to the CSM10 folder, if you have the sim installed already, it is a good idea to first delete the original contents or you will be asked if you want to replace each individual file!!. If you have not yet installed the sim on your computer, unzip the files to a floppy and install in the usual way.

You need to uninstall your software, download the software off thier site, unzip it to a 3.5" disc and then install from the disk that you've just unzipped.

Basically Windows XP runs MS-Dos programmes in the background and will not allow them to have direct connections with printer ports which is no good for CSM. So this modified one overcomes this.

1. delete all contents of folder CSM V10
2. Unzip the file that you download to a disk...if you don't have winzip click here... http://www.winzip.com
3. open a: disk and run the install file and follow the instructions that should hopefully do it.
