who can give me a bit of guidence on this one, Ive been playing around trying to setup and understand my gp750 on my trex 500 and now the tail rotor dosnt seem right, i.e. its not centering itself when i let go of the stick? ive also come to realise that it was in rate mode too not hh which i seem to have corrected by raising the gain setting in the tx from 50 to 65 is this an ok setting or should it be more or less? cheers for any info guys

have you set up in rate mode to centre ? this you should try to do to get to as close to centre as possible then go to heading hold and adjust the gain from there turn it up so the tail wags and then back off the gain until it stops wagging. you should have no trim or sub trim on the rudder. then pump the heli see how well the tail holds in line when the heli climbs

not really sure what ive done to be honest, i tried to follow a video on youtube lol and the guy said if the light was red it was in rate mode which mine was, so i increased the gain in tx to 65 and the light went to green, then i think i played with the limit setting and now if i push stick left or right the blades stay there and dont go back to centre

That's normal when in HH. The tail rotors only centralize when in rate mode.

              What Tx are you using?

Using your end points for gain.. anything above 50 is HH.. anything under is RM and you can flick between the two using an assigned switch on the tx (usually the gear switch).. Its been ages but I recall mine being around 74 in HH for a good hold.. Like Bladeboy400 says.. start high, around 85 (and it should wag!) then back off the gain until it stops wagging and your done!

With regards to the tail staying there.. thats normal when its doing nothing on the ground.. move it to one side and then pick the heli up and spin it.. you will see the tail blades move and but only centre once it goes to the original direction it was pointing at
