should i upgrade to a carbon tail boom?

after bending the alu tail boom on my 500 with great ease, i just wondered if the carbon ones are any stronger and worth me upgrading to?

500 alu booms can be straightened if there not creased, theres a guy at our club who straightens them and you wouldnt know they were ever bent.

if you damage a aiu boom a cf boom will shatter a lot easier

Every time without exception every time I have fitted a lovely carbon boom something goes wrong and I wreck it, dont matter what heli, so now I stick with ali.............

Yes they are... coated Alu

They dont shatter.. they just snap at the boom block.. every bloody time!... I still get them as I love my fake carbon! lol!

i shattered a carbon boom the other week, ok, was a hard, let me rephase that, was a stoopidly fast hard reversal, it split by the tail gear box, now running a ali boom

not a fan of carbon booms at all, much prefer alu ones, wish avant would do an alu version for the aurora
