Phoenix compatible?

Hi all, does anyone know if the stripped out tx that is supplied with Realitycraft helimaster will wor with Phoenix?
It says on it "6 channel ppm transmitter" has normal sticks & trims plus a pot on the rhs and switch on the lhs that say gear/pit & 5ch / gyro respectively.
Alternatively does anyone live near to halesowen who would be kind enough to plug it in for me to look see?

If it gives out a standard PPM signal then it will work.

You can use this tx with phoenix if you put a socket on the back and wire to the red and blue wires, you have to keep the original usb and plug it in as well to supply the power to the tx. I can post pics on how to do this or check back as I have posted this mod before.

Thanks DW45, I've checked back and can't find it. Not sure what you mean about extra wires and where they go from to.
It works fine with FMS, but as so many people have pointed out FMS is no good for what I need to do, initially I thought they were being ott, but have realised how right they were after doing more research.
It would help me a great deal to be able to use this box so I can channel my resources into the build of my Phoenixtech TT.

Great, thanks - I've fiund it now, just not looking the right place. Still don't understand why you need the phono jack though - is it to supply power?
Just had a look on the Phoenix website and think I understand now, is this to plug in the cable that comes with Phoenix that normally plugs in the trainer port?

yes the Phoenix comes with a dongle lead which plugs into the trainer socket of a transmitter. since the Realitycraft doesn't have a trainer output you have to put one on it to give a PPM signal to work. the realitycraft tx needs power also so you need to plug in it's usb lead as well.
