went to model shop to get a fuel tank for 1 ov my nitro cars.
while there my missus said "hey isnt that the heli u wanted 3 years ago ".
yes my love it is ,looking at her with loving eyes as lastime she said that she got me a plane.fingers crossed i said"but i dont think i can afford it at the mooment .sure as eggs was eggs she asked the model man hey how much and wats needed.left the shop thinking ok got a starter rode for my plane starter.have model tech fuel 1 gallon.thinking ahead crash kit plus 1 extra set ov blades as it came with carbon blades.training legs.
ok ready to fly (how wrong could i have bn)looks windy , mabe next week.
joined a chat with ade law he told me to go get a sim u fool your kill yourself.ok same day back to shop for pheonix.
2 weeks later sim skill ok flying v curve on stick ,inverted and 3d king is born.
this is where things take a turn for the better and worse.
ok im a 3d master now on sim.so i gets talking to local guys ade put me in touch with.1 named abyiss .
3-4 week iv looked at this raptor and thought sode it im out over the park for a go how hard can it be ,i can fly a plane)
abyiss after a chat checks my heli over for me .odear ,tut .tut odear odear.2 hrs later gyro set pitch's on blades sorted and a how the hell did this guy in the shop fly this.
remember model shop man said"o shes allready just add nasty yellow bbq fuel and she's a go'er guv " i asked abyiss if he would mind kinda helping me fly for the 1st time .
wat a star ,after finding model shop mans training legs didnt fit and shook like a crackhead needing a fix he puts me on a trainer cable and let me have ago while keeping his very skilled eye on me i felt kinda made up and scared to hell at the same time.as sim was great and i would have never bn as ok as i was yesterday.the real thing is still very fast and i gota thank ade law for that advice.it was clear after i would have killed someone and bn a fool.3flights no bills and a great day out later and after just reading a post on here ive just read .all i can say is model man in shop isnt allways right and the real thing is alot diff from sims like pheonix and reflex as i have bn on both.i am no 3d master ,far far from it i have found out.
nothing is like having a great friend like abyiss teaching u to fly and the time he has shown me this past week is fantastic.
it's clear to see im hooked dumped my ff6 got a ff9 and carnt w8 till sun comes out 2 day.
all this could have bn very diff story like some i have read on here ,i was so nearly a death and disaster case.
