  • Channel help..

I've just bought a PCM9 and trying to work out what's what on it I bought it for my airwolf, now i want to fit lights to it at some point, and would like to run them along with the retracts off a 2nd battery? What i'd like to know is how do i do this in the way of them having their own channel to opperate while getting their power from the 2nd battery

Well you could get a micro servo to operate a small on and off switch via the gear channel, its a very easy concept to do and will be very cheap

That has to be the way forward - small slider switch, hole drilled through, linkage, tiny Hitec servo on your spare non-proportional channel. That way you can use whatever battery pack you fancy. All your radio is doing is physically operating a small switch. Maplins sell suitable switches.

      Good luck!
