  • Curse of the RC Helis

    Hello

I have written off about 3 Co axial heli outside in the past. Yesterday I got delivery of an Esky Honey Bee CP 3 yesterday and after practising on Phoenix for about 6 weeks I thought I would be ready.

But apparently not. check out the pics.

Don't worry too much, it looks like it's par for the course, time on a sim doesn't really prepare you for the real thing as well as you think, it teaches you how to move the sticks to do what you want but in reality it just aint the same thing.
Persevere and you will be rewarded ( if your pocket is deep enough LOL)
Best wishes and don't give up!
Gravity is your best and worst friend!

Posting one line replies, apparently for the purpose of link stuffing an otherwise dead site, that's what's weird.

              Hi,

if you're serious about helis - apparently you are - consider getting a "real" 450 such as T-Rex, copterX or whatever.
If set up by an expert, it will be very close to phoenix or another quality sim.
The cheap RTF models are among the most difficult to fly, sadly. One reason is, they don't do as commanded, but mostly follow an agenda of their own. This makes it very hard to develop any degree of confidence.

Thanks Guys. I am going to buy a 500 size heli, most likley a Trex. I am just saving yet to tell the truth. I have spent about £430 on smaller helis. Going order the parts I need to fix up the Esky CP3 from RC Mods and hopefully I will get it flying.
