fix the cause not the symptom.... which is easy work out why your crashing then work out how your gonna stop it.

if your dumb thumbing... fly higher

if it keeps breaking in the air... improve your building skills or get a 450 that doesnt fall apart.

The key to not smashing blades (apart from not flying), is to have a thing called "throttle hold" set up. Throttle hold is a switch which kills the power to the motor.
If you fly over long grass and things go Pete Tong hit the throttle hold button and let the heli drop to the deck.

Blades last a lot longer this way.

I tend to find blades account for roughly 50% of crash expenses.

I have some odd blades for sale, dunno if any are good for you:

hi cheers for all your posts.

          i know the reason.

and its simply because my garden is only big enough to hover in and well

....i get bored of just hovering so i do a bit of side on and then get cocky and do some circuits and then try something eles..... and then it all ends in disaster!!! and its seems to always end up in a pair of new blades!

so the answer to this is fly it where theres more space! not in my garden.

problem with that is when i have a full battery i carnt resist!

          cheers,
          Tom

learn to resist then. with all the saved crashes you could afford to buy lots more packs making it worth while finding somewhere bigger to fly...

                SABs are good.
                Radix are awesome.
Vs are the best I've tried on it.

                Cheers,

Tom, glad you're having fun with the model.

I used the £9-00 per paid woodies for the mini-pred most of the time. They worked fine for me and even lasted a fwe incidents. They're available from all good hobby stores.
I've got a perfect flying record - I've not left one up there yet!

                        yep i sure am.

The blades i bought were these:

                        http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d..._promot_widget

at £4.50 i wasnt to bovered if the were polysterene!

they arrived today so i put em on and went to the garden,

2 packs later my heli is still intact!!!! SUCCESS... it flew very well with these blades on, i think it was because they are a bit heavier than the woodies and so dampend the cyclic a bit.

i then taped my phone to bottom and took it up again....
it was really shaky but i did come away with a pretty cool video of the niebours gardens!!

so im very happy and waiting for the batterys to recharge!!
                        Tom
