I set a Belt CP V2 up for someone and really struggled to fly it. Give it a go but I wasn't keen on it. As for tips you can probably find much more info on Helifreak or Heliguy as they have very active forums for the belt.

not a great little heli and very difficult to get just right, you'll be forever fiddling and adjusting.once you think you have it..next flight its back to fiddling!!

I started with a BeltCP as my first proper heli, and spent most of the time trying to make it fly better with upgrades etc. It doesn't help matters when the parts are pretty poor quality too.

The belt cp was my first "usable" electric helicopter. The airframe isn't too bad. Spares are expensive. Esky electronics are rubbish (TowerPro SG90's are a drop-in replacement). Don't bother trying to upgrade the airframe; take it for what it is, replace the electronics as necessary, them transfer to a nicer airframe when ready.

With a decent radio and gyro it flew OK for me (as a beginner). The stock radio it is supplied with is awful, though.

I compiled a small list of tips here: Esky Belt CP - RC Helicopter Wiki

I'm not going to lie, hated the belt cp with a passion.... my main gripe apart from the stock electronics was the head design, especially the oval control rods that kept binding. That was a V1, not sure on how the V2 fairs.

There's plenty of cheap mods to solve a lot of the issues. Some peeps love the heli for what it is, some don't.

Give it a go and see how you get on.

And +1 to Heliguy/Helifreak Belt forums. Loads of help and advise to be had.

              Me too.

I got one of these with 2 friends, needless to say I gave up heli's for a year after one month with that thing.

Then got a decent heli and could actually hover it. I did then try to set the Belt up as I could fly half decent by this time and just could not get it right so I ended up giving it away, funny, like how you got it

I still got mine (but in bits), i was ok to fly but a nightmare to set up, mine i got in 2008 so not sure what version it is but i have shed loads of spares if you need any.

After 12 months of crashing and repairing the CP, i got a trex 450 and havent looked back since, not saying that you cant fly a belt but they can be a bit of a bi*ch for set up, just take it slowley and see if any cheap 450 frames come up 2nd hand, most of your elecs / etc should fit another 450.
