What servos to buy for my raptor 50se

Hi guys, i just bought a 2nd hand raptor 50se v2, i need all servos and battery for it, can you advise me please? , i heard alot of bad reports bout the 9254, but apart from that i dont know what servos to buy, i have got a futaba FP-R138DF 8 channel receiver 35 MHZ i will b using and a field force 6 trans, i will get a 401 gyro. Futaba S3152 s, or JR DS811 s for the pitch and cyclics, 9254 for the tail, and a normal Futaba 3003 or the like for the throttle.

anything else for the tail, as i have heard bad reports bout the 9254`s CHEERS!!!!!!

most ppl use 9254 on there tail with 401's, apart from gear shearing in a crash mines been good as gold

Digital, less than 0.1 of a second over 60 degrees.

there have been a couple of issues with the 9254 but i dont think its as widespread as some seem to make out.

i havnt seen one fail at our club yet and there are atleast 30 flying!

Thanks for that ade, seems everybody is using them, but i saw another heli site and it had 20 or 30 people saying they had them fail, some had lost a few due to failure. Think i will prob go with 9254. cheers!

I have had one fail, not totally, just doing weird stuff on the ground so sent it back and got it replaced. I still use them on the GY401 and as throttle servos.

I did have one 9254 go bad on me but its still my servo of choice for the tail

Mine went to full travel and locked but i take it as an isolated incident,,there are many thousands of 9254`s in use probably so faults are probably no more likely than any other servo

Actually one of mine failed 3 or 4 weeks ago at DMHC.

Mine also finally died at DMHC last year,,,

But on the whole i trust the 9254 totally,,,

I've just bought for my SE 2 Hitec HS5625's for cyclic 6.5kg @4.8v .17s 60 deg & for the pitch I've bought the HS5645 10.3kg @4.8 .23s 60 deg
Both servos from inwoods are £32.90
Futaba 3152's are ok if your on a budget but I would prefer the above or possibly Futaba 3050's which are the same price as the hitecs.
The gy401 gyro 9254 combo would do but I would personaly go for maybe a second hand GY502 9254 from fleabay.
