  • twister skylift (chinook) problem

hey guys, i was lucky enogh to have a twister skylift given to me by a mate. with 2 remotes its a 35mhz jobbie,he had a crash with it nothing heavy from what i can see! needs new blades all 8 and he cracked the plastics a bit. the problem i got is when i turn it on! the up and down lever works fine but the throttle side dont work at all.. would this be because ive taken the blades off the heli? in other words the motors wont power up when i give it throttle. the remote and helli connect ok. cant see no damage to the wires or internal bits at all. any ideas guys..the 2 remotes are model e8,but 1 has servo reverser on it the last 1 is binded to it cheers for your help yet again peeps

    Hello DAGZ,
I don't know the skylift personally, but I believe you need to ensure the throttle and the throttle trim are all the way down before you connect up the battery. Otherwise the ESC will not initiate and the motors will be disabled.

Yep agree, on mine I have to have throttle trim all the way down.

hey guys cheers for that, just checked what you told me! and got the motors going now,but for some reason the throttle works back to front.
the trim got to be all the way in the up position and the trim also so when i push down on the stick it revs up

You need to reverse the throttle channel in the transmitter

Be careful when changing throttle direction. Best to take the blades off first
