  • can3d be made easier

As the title says can stunts be made easier

Just got phoenix and notice evryone doing stunts and they make it look so easy. Was wondering if I could do anything either on phoenix or in my radio(dx6i) to make flips and things a little easier..Or am I just rubbish at helis and need to try planes?

Can I put any mixes into my radio and if so what should I use also what should my throttle curve be for 3d getting a little bored just hovering there.

    thanks

You can slow phoenix down, there is a slider in the settings menu, at 90% under normal speed I'm an animal!!!

To help with stunts, practice the important basics first like orientation. With out the bare essentials its going to be a bumpy ride and you'll struggle. Forget the 3D get the very basic principles down first. Practice

            * Circuits - clockwise and anti (backwards and forwards)
            * Inverted circuits clockwise and anti (backwards and forwards)

            * Lazy 8's clockwise and anti (backwards and forwards)
            * Inverted 8's clockwise and anti (backwards and forwards)

and then transitions between them both so try a normal backward half 8 and then roll into an inverted etc. Sounds complicated but youll get you're head around it soon.

Learning these couple of examples with lead to you knowing how to control the heli in all sorts of postions. Trying to attempt what you've seen relys on the flyer knowing his orientations....
Keep practising mate thats the key.

Look out for any online Phoenix sessions I post and feel free to join and ask questions.

Also try watching stick inputs on phoenix too, youll get an idea of how much/little input is required... but get orientations right as said, im still working on mine!

What helps make 3d easier is to get good at the basics, ESP hover, 8 and directions right way and inverted (pop called orientation).

Just make sure you radio is set up right ie throttle & pitch curves

Then just stick time, it will take time,

That's what I like about this hobby,
Otherwise if it was easy, I would have got bored and sold up long ago

                    Cheers

The best way to learn 3d is find a top 3d pilot and look on the back of there head, just where the hair line stops and you should see a little plug socket, find a compatible socket connections and plug it in then download all there info into your head and away you go.
Iam sure some of these guys that fly hard 3d are really just machines as i cant see it possible to do some of the tricks that they pull off.

Its easy to forget the hundreds of hours that good 3D pilots put in on the sim and out at the field. Learning to fly complex 3D aerobatics with a heli is bloody difficult. Full stop. But like most things in life, if your willing to put in the time and effort I honestly think almost anyone can learn to fly 3D

PRACTICE... practice & more practice. If it was easy we wouldn't do it.
