..... just checking, but mine arrived from Midland but with a US kettle lead! More bloody expense just to power the power supply! Are these chargers really being shipped globally with only US kettle leads?

I presume I just need to use any regular kettle plug, right? What should the plug be fused with? PS output is 15V, 23A, 350W, but that calculation's not relevant for the input wall socket plug, is it?

I'm guessing 13A, just like a kettle, right?

I hope that is just an oversight as you cannot sell electrical devices within the EU now without the correct mains lead.

I'd suggest calling Midland.

Was it actually a USA lead with flat pins or a European lead with round pins?

Reason I ask is that if it really was a USA lead I'd want to make sure that what you have there is configured for 240V not 110V before you plug it in.

Definitely a US plug - flat pins. The supply is rated as 100-240VAC so we're ok there.

Good, no worries there then, had to ask though as I move between the US and UK every month and although the vast majority of devices like that are multi-voltage I keep stumbling across the occasional device that is 110V only.

Am happy to just pop out tomorrow and get the required lead so I can do some charging - do you know what fuse I should be using?

3amp fuse if you can get one, 5amp if not.

Thanks for the kind offer but its ok, I've emailed Midland as the screw connector on the ngative terminal is stuck fast and there was also no instructions/spec sheet included. Am sure they'll be happy to sort.
