I would say the 250 is one hell of a handfull for a newbie like me. It can be tamed down but even then it's still a handfull.

I kinda wish i'd gone for a 450 or 500 as they'd have been easier, buy hey ho you pays your money and you makes your choice. Besides once i can fly the little monster i should be able to handle a 450 or 500 no problem.

Phoenix flight sim is a great investment imho.

T-Rex 250 not the best heli to start with that's for sure.

If money is tight spend £79 on Phoenix sim and learn to fly the cheap way.

My advise would be a 50 size heli to learn on, much easier to fly and less chance of crashing (which you will)

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Forget anything Walkera, and the Buzz-flyer.

For indoors thumb practice, get a Blade mSR, and consider a 500 sized copter for outside. better than a small one to learn on. The TRex 500 would be a good choice, or a Raptor 30/50.

Bigger heli's have more weight, true, but don't get shifted around in wind, plus the larger the disc from the main blades, the more stable they are, lol, haven't done that much reading have we

The more I read this thread, the more I think you really need to get to grips with a good rc sim first.
Make no mistake the the helis you've encountered so far are nothing like the helis you are thinking of buying.
Here's my suggestion for you.

1) Get a Spektrum DX6i Transmitter.

2) Get a copy of the Phoenix simulator. (its worth its weight in heli spares)

3) Spend as much time as you can on the sim. (At least then you'll have an idea of what your getting into )

4) Once you've had loads of sim time, then come back and seek advise as to what heli to buy.

wellcome aboard i learn on a 250 cos i have limited room to fly(my kitchen) i agree with all coments on hear its a handfull ive only been flying a short time but cant put it down. might have been better to buy bigger but im getting the hang of it....mick
