  • Best colour for orientation ??

What are your thoughts on the best colours for canopy and tail ?

I'm having real problems with heli orientation. (duno whether the heli is facing me or pointing away from me)

Might be my age ? But either way could do with some help here

    Thanks
    Pete

I've found Yellow or white the best colours for me,
Strange Aligns are yellow and Raptors use alot of white,
      Never use darkish Red,
      Tripler/Helipete/

Rachel will agree with your choice there I like yellow, Chris at the club actually has an led on his tail which seems to show up pretty well in daylight,

Person specific. I found this gave good visibility.

I am having a canopy painted in a similar style. It wont win any awards for originality but so long as I can see it that is all that matters.

i have found flourescent Pink can be seen in nearly every sky and for some distance, when fitted with a contrasting colour like black it is excellent

Rachel will like this one then

charcoal grey and silver works well in the sun when it glints of the silver

or bright green works quite well also

Bet you'll have a job seeing the blue and red on a cloudy day.

Go with dayglo orange, I stick it all over the canopy when I'm flying on really dull or foggy days!

Its the self adhesive stuff they put on emergency vehicles, I got tons of it so if you want soem PM me your address.

Orange and lime green, two of the most visible colours to the human eye and do not blend in with our back grounds..

                              Look nice too .
