  • Futaba FF6 charger help

This may seem obvious but I would like to know anyway
If I plug in the mains charger to both tx & rx then into the mains and switch onto charge. There are two lights on the charger, the tx stays red and the rx stays green.
What I want to know is should they both be the same colour and change when the battery is full or is red & green normal?
I havent used anything yet only charged the batteries so any help would be most welcome.

This is a simple one but looking at the online manual all it says is the charger lights when plugged in.

When you know what the lights indicate it is easy, until then they are just pretty lights

The tx/rx chargers are usually slow chargers for Nickel Metal Hydride batteries. They are meant to take about 14hrs to charge from flat. A 1500mah battery will be charged at 150mah. The leds are just telling you that current is passing into the battery. This is usually written on the charger. This assumes you are using the original batteries that came with the charger.

The leds stay on until you stop the charge.
