Heli dilema...

I bought one (HK500GT from GC) last weekend. The only thing that is naff is the landing gear (Its one piece plastic molding) but it feels man enough!

The tail is all metal except for the plastic bits that are plastic on the Align.
The head is also metal.
I had to take all the metal to metal bolts out to locktite them, most already had locktite on them! I do this on any pre built model anyways!
Oh and those blades - a better match than my Align 450 blades were, they came already perfectly balanced!

Must have been lucky, but its a viable cheap way into helis

So I finally ordered my first heli, and thanks to all for the input received. I ordered the Flasher 500 Super Combo for £299.99, plus 500 sized case, DX8 (I got that this week already), 2 x 6S 2650 nanotech Turnigy packs, pitch gauge, blade balancer. Phew!

Looking forward to my first strip / rebuild and then flight without crashing.

if money is any concern, a 450. Consider it not the one heli you're married to until eternity, but rather a write-off.
