Hi there chap(esse)s,
I've been lurking and reading for a while, having wanted to fly a Heli for years. Anyway after trying the useless £10 toy IR jobs, I've bitten the bullet and got a DX6i and Phoenix v3.
Having got things set up ok (I'm Mac based running it in VM Fusion) and managing to get the CX2 to fly well tail in, and nose in, I moved onto a T Rex 600.
Suffice to say I'm really struggling to get a stable hover as even with full cyclic expo/training gear etc it still drifts laterally and can't seem to trim it out, and am wondering if it is possible to trim it out at all?.
My cyclic 'human' compensation seems to be delayed and then I start to get into a lateral YoYo (Fore/aft is no problem). I am wondering if the Mac/VM Fusion isn't helping ?slowing inputs? to the sim.
Or is it just more & more & more practice needed
So could someone suggest DX6i/Phoenix settings for the T Rex 600 to get me going please.
The second question is regarding Scarborough Model Flying club, as the web site seems to have disappeared, and wondered if anyone knows what's going on and how to contact them, or another local club re getting some training/help in North Yorkshire.
TIA
Mike
P.S. sorry for such a long 1st post
