Concept 30 SRX with a sanwa 6000 radio great heli for learning

I had much the same... A Raptor 30 with the same servos and a shitty gyro that name forgets me.

i was flying fixed wing mode 2 so the tx didn't get used for long

i've still got the heli and it was restored in 2007 and an asp 61 four stroke motor fitted and it was one of the morley's that i was awarded the morley vintage cup in 2007

Yep you never forget your first heli especially if ya still have scars on your arm over 3 years later from when it chopped through it like I have! I had a twister bell coax heli then I bought a Walkera 60b off the internet. I thought it looked good as it had all the nice shiny metal parts. Unknown to me it had dodgy raido gear in it and when I plugged the lipo in...It just went bezerk and I couldn't get my arm away in time I'd never touch a Walkera again.

                              Cheers Grant.

I never saw a collective pitch MFA fly properly, but my old fixed pitch one taught me to hover and fly circuits (without the aid of a gyro). The Bluebird engine was the weakest point, but when it was running, it was great fun.

Will try and dig out an old photo, my second model was a Shuttle S. Still remember my first crash, I ran out of fuel when hovering about 6 foot off the ground. The first lesson on how expensive the hobby is (only used to earn about 80 quid a week back then)
                                Cheers,
