  • beginner, what now?? advise please.

I started off with a Syma 107 which was great fun so i bought a Blade MSR which has now been battered a bit and needs another £20 to repair so do i repair or buy a Blade 120SR? i also bought a blade MCX which is great fun and easy to fly i also have a blade 400 which i took to a field yesterday to fly and the heli went 10 foot in the air spinning wildly and crashed to the floor and broke a blade (i dont think i want to fly the 400 again).

Is there a bigger heli i could buy which fly's like the MCX that i could take outdoors? I have a spectrum DX6I.

You won't find any ourdoor helis that fly like an MCX other than what we would consider toys. Have you got a copy of Phoenix yet ?. If not then that would be your next purchase.

Not at all mate,You say you have stacked the MSR numerous times and now the Blade 400,So how much has that cost you? A sim is only around £80 so not really expensive by any means and it WILL SAVE you money as it will help you in avoiding crashes etc....

Yes the phoenix sim comes with a lead which plugs into the trainer port on the back of the DX6i.

              Cheers Grant.

the sim isnt that expensive really when you consider some of us have main blades that cost nearly £100. the sim will save you money in the long run.
as you said with your b400 that it went up and you couldnt control it resulting in a crash. with the sim you can practice as much as you want and learn how to fly.what you have learnt with the sim will pass straight on to flying real helis because you have got used to how helis fly and what stick movements do what with the heli.

Just a quick word of warning from another thread that was posted earlier.

Be careful looking for the sim on places such as Ebay. There are some fakes being sold cheaply. Don't get caught out, they will stop working as updates are applied and you will lose your money.
