Is there anyone out there who can give me the best info for learning to fly my heli.Ive got a Nexus 30 all new radio gear and its just been set up so is all ready to go.I know its an old model but still got a lot of money in it and don't want to trash it on the first flight. So can anyone tell me where is the best place to go and get help to learn how to fly it I live in Leeds but will travel within reason to get the best help.Ive got the phoenix flight sim and had a few hours on that and can get into and hold a hover and fly around a little as well without crashing.can also land again with training aids still on.

Hi mate, welcome to the hobby. Your best bet is to find a local club so check out the BMFA web site club locator here - http://www.bmfa.org/clubs/clist.php. It sounds like your progressing well and having a simulator is a valuable addition but you definately should seek out the local club as they will check your heli over and go thru the correct starting procedures etc.

    All the best

Light travels faster than sound, this is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak....

Cheers for that. I have had my heli checked out already by a model shop who has a specialist heli man who flys in 3D comps. He has fitted and tested all my new flight gear. I can start my heli no problem and get her to lift into a sort of hover but I do need the reasurance of having someone who knows what to do when things go wrong.I was shacking like a leaf when I lifted her of the ground in my garden but after a while I started to calm down a little.
