Hello there.

I'm loking to get into this hobby and after months of research, I'm looking to purchase a TREX 550e.

My question is ... do local hobby stores (or online for that matter) tend to have January sales?

At 2.5%, the VAT increase isn't really worth thinking about, it makes so little difference to the overall price. Should I wait or go for it before Christmas???

Great - thanks all! Just one other quick question - I keep reading about the Trex 550 canopy rubbing on the servos because the fit is so tight. How do I go about sorting that out???

if memory serves, one of our members uses the 600 stand-offs.

My advice is to ring round for the best deal as the uk suppliers don't always advertise there best price on the web. I saved over £100 on my 550

I agree some shops will offer better deals if you phone them direct.Web prices just keep everyone happy

I don't have that issue, mine is fine as standard.
