Morning Everyone,
My names Dan, first post on the forum.
I have been looking at different RC helicopters for about a week trying to decide what would be the best place to start. I spent a few hours yesterday reading many posts in the beginner section about recommended starting helicopters.
Firstly, I know after reading so many posts yesterday im going to get a lot of people telling me that I should get a simulator first. This is not really the route I want to go down as I know ill get bored with that very quickly, I spend all day on computers for work and so mostly avoid them in the evenings
I know its not the way everyone started and im sure ill do fine without, just as many people say, end up spending a little more on spare parts. To me, its worth spending a little more on parts to have the hands on flying experience.
As its not exactly nice out at the moment, im not really looking for something too big to fly inside, so a sub-micro seems to be the way to go for me. I had originally looked at a budget of around £150 to get me started but then saw the deal on the link below and wondered if it would be a good thing to start with as it includes a decent transmitter, one 4 channel and one 6 channel. Almost double what I had intended to buy but it seems I could get that and learn enough to be able to buy myself a bigger 6 channel helicopter once the weather get a little nicer next year.
After looking around at different stores online, I have ended up with the thought of possibly getting the following:
Buzz Fly BE plus 3D Deal --- BuzzFlyer UK
Are these any good?
Is the transmitter any good? (Will I be able to use it for the next few years with any helicopter I buy?)
Do you think this would be an 'ok' starting point?
Also, if it all doesnt go too well or I find that RC helicopter flying isnt for me, whats the resale value like?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Dan

Wait for a few more guys to respond and make your decision but take into account on the advice you've been given.. theres not really a right or wrong way.. but how expensive you want to make it and how quickly you'll lose interest in the hobby! Trust me.. I've been there!
