    Hi

    I have no idea on that one as there are loads of rip offs of the T Rex 450, I am sure some are ok but most are poor at best.

    The Blade 400 is a nice model, both the airframe and supplied radio in the model are ok but not up to the quality or performance of a genuine T Rex but certainly good enough to learn on and as most on here will testify it comes from a very good distributor with great back up and spares support, spares are very sensibly priced too.

    It's supplied with a Spektrum DX6i transmitter which real is the part which gives it the most value as it's a great transmitter which can be used with most other future models where as a lot of the basics trannys you get with RTF models are not much cop for anything else.

    Cheers
    Bob

    More to think about, how's the Blade 400 compare to a 450 clone? Edit: I see there's lots of info out there, I'll have a read.

    Cheers

      With that budget you might want to consider a Blade 400 Skyline*Models :: Helicopter*Kits :: Electric :: E-Flite*(Blade...

      With the 10% extra offered until Christmas eve you get it for 215.99:-) so could squeeze a MCX BNF in for indoor flying to!

      This way you end up with a decent little transmitter as well.

      Or, even better, he could get Phoenix simulator.

            Thanks Guys,

            I think you've all convinced me on the Blade 400 & Pheonix Sim, plus I think I'll try the KDS FlyMentor 3d stabilization, at $73 if it saves me a few broken parts while I learn it's got to be worth it.

            Incidently I found the Blade 400 from another UK shop for £8 less!! But that's equalled by the discount on Pheonix at Skyline

            Now I've got a couple of overseas jobs to get out of the way before xmas, so I will put my order in just before xmas. Gives me time to soak up as much info as I can between now and then.

            Thanks again to everyone, it was just the type of feedback I needed.

              Yea ur best getting a sim and a gud heli and transmitter, im a newbie to rc helis aswell never flew any rc heli before, i started with a esky belt cp v2, piece of crap got nowere with it cudn even hover, so i sold it and got a dx6i tx and pheonix sim, have used pheonix sim bot 10 times to practice hover and flight since and about a month ago i got a good bargin on ebay, i bought a mini titan e325 with loads of extras for £190 including hitec hs65mg servos, align tail servo and gy750 align gyro and joined a local indoor club and have been hovering and flying right away for three weeks now with no crashes(fingers crossed hope the gud luck lasts)lol, All i can say it was the best move i ever done and that was buy gud quality heli and tx.

              Good luck on your decision
