    Cool

I'm sure your going to love it. Loads more fun than the mCX, and the DX6i is a great tx that'll take you a long way into the hobby

Just be careful not to overfly the lipos

Yeah. I have 5 dead lipos here because of this.

Do not wait until the heli 5 in 1 flashes. Set the timer on the DX for 5 minutes and stick to this otherwise you will be in the same boat as me. Grounded with £35 worth of batteries now useles..

Ah so you eventually got it! How are you getting on with it? I've got far better at flying my mSR, mainly due to flying it in the office at work after hours as it's a much larger space and less to crash in to!

ive just ordered myself the msr about an hour ago with the dx6i whats the tx like compared to the one you were using with ur mcx?

hope your having fun, the nearest club i can find with activity is an hour drive away im sure people travel more than that but when ur learning i cba driving lol and you only have a couple of batts and makes it pointless travelling. wish i had an office!

The 6i is worlds apart from the standard one you get with the 120/mSR.

You will love the mSR esp during the winter months when it is dark byt he time you get home. If it wasn't for my made of rubber mSR I wouldn't have flown for weeks.

Is the 120sr just a scaled up msr then?

Pretty much! I'm looking to get one once the weather gets better along with a dx6i, the tx that comes with the mSR is OK but I mainly want the dx6i for flying in phoenix sim.

Also, I learned the hard way regarding lipo cells, one of mine has already died due to me flying until the 5in1 flashes - another reason to get a dx6i as it has a timer!

Yeah the only reason i swapped from futaba to a dx7 is so i can buy the parkzone and e-flite stuff and bind it.I think the tx that comes with the msr is total rubbish.
I was considering selling my msr and buying a 120 though

Had my 120 SR for about 2 weeks now and find it far more like a larger heli than the mSR. It flies where you send it rather than try to always return to the hover
                              A couple of points though.

As it’s twice the size (and 4 times the weight) you need twice the room to fly and if it hits the dog, the wife or worst of all the LCD tv; they complain! (I can accidently bounce the mSR off the wife’s head without her noticing)

It doesn’t have the inbuilt rudder mixing the mSR has, so be prepared for a little co-ordinated stick movement when applying rudder.

The ground effect is greater and wall, ceiling and even sofa effect can take control so don’t go too near large immovable objects.

I wouldn’t recommend it as a first heli in a confined space as it can potentially do some damage, but once you are used to an mSR/mCX it’s great fun!
