  • T Rex 450 SEV2 belt drive wheel replacement

Not sure where to put this, but as a newby, here'll do ?
The belt drive wheel ( alloy) was loose on it's shaft, a hard push and"click" down it went, feels tight but I want to replace it. The new assembly is in two parts, the small alloy wheel appears to be an interference fit mid shaft. Don't have a manual, so how is it all put together folks ?

Trex 450 SEV2, hack, freeby, but getting expensive. Binned the bu**er !
    Trex 550 V2. Adrenalin ( brown kind )
mCPX, better than a Phoenix anyday.
    Several planks, gathering dust.

Brains and thumbs work okay, but not at the same time.

You can find the manual here as a PDF http://rvmhc.com/manuals/450SE%20New%20V2.pdf

Thanks fellas, but that manual I do have. It shows the assembly as a complete unit. Replacement is a two part as I mentioned in the OP. No idea what to use to assemble this into the heli, I'm guessing a push fit to line up the teeth and wetting the shaft with medium thread lock, but ain't sure.

If you are talking about this item,

When I bought one it came complete as one unit.

I believe that is for the sport or pro where I think the bearing block is in two halves.

The V1 and possibly the V2 has a single piece bearing block so the bearing and shaft have to be fitted to it before the drive wheel goes on.

In response to the OPs question. You don't want this pulley to slip in flight so it may be worth using some green loctite on the pulley when fitting it instead of relying on the interference fit alone.

Thanks for that Bolder. The V2 has a one piece lower block and a two piece upper by the way so the unit could be used either way. Do you know if the sport and pro unit has a different gear ratio compared with the V2 ? I don't want to fit and find it's not right for my beginners reactions.
