Well the E-Flite Blade 120SR would probably be your best bet. They can be picked up for around £120ish with the standard controller.

The 120 SR is damn nice and a good heli for us learners but you will be limited on outdoor flying as it doesn't like the wind. It was ok a month back but as we slide into Autumn/Winter I am finding fewer and fewer days I can fly it.
Come the end of the month when the clocks change and it will be dark as well as well as cold and windy.
The mSR is a nice small heli you can fly indoors, very resistant to crashing and not one of those toys you get from Model Zone with two sets of blades that are too easy.
The mSR can also be flown with a proper TX later on (like the DX6i) so you won't be stuck with the one that comes with the heli.mSR

. Maybe now you cannot play 3D but who knows next month. Higher cost but great combination.Doesn't fit the budget mate.Originally posted by NewbieForeverBut up to 100 would be fine.

however, I do feel the budget is a little low for an outdoor heli, that is capable of flying in winds, when I first started a few months ago, I spent around £300 to get a ttrex 450, lipo's. charger, a few spares, a 2.4ghz tx and rx,
so is that just 100 on the heli, what about everything else? and you know what everybody says... why not pick up a used copy of phoenix and a dx6i or something and practice on the sim over the winter, and save some cash up ready for he better weather next year??

If you play heli just for 100 is useless, every time you fly, the heli will crash and you will spend more money for repair it. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
After you have money buy T-rex 450 ( the most reliable 450 heli)

Hi All
1st post, this thread look appropriate to ask this question as I am a complete newbie beginner to helicopters although I used to fly R/C gliders and acrobatic R/C planes years back.
I want a sub micro, so what is better to start with, a Walkera, Buzz Fly or a Nine Eagles. Open to suggestions. Build quality is always a good thing to have, decent components etc, rather just cheap plastic parts.
The Nine Eagles at Buzz Fly is good value with extra stuff and a case but is it a decent machine?
All help gratefully received.
Thanks
MacLoud
