I used to have a similar problem with my T-Rex sometimes. It turned out to be play in the blade grip to the blade grip bearings. I re-fitted the blade grip and bearings with a tiny bit of loctite and the problem went away.

I was told that this could be an issue at my local shop, and if so the fix is to modify the blade grips, the connections to the ball joints are at an angle, i have been told to cut the grips to get the links more upright if it is a problem, I havent noticed any yet, but then I havnt flown it much, I will try to take a picture of what I mean if that would help.

Lots of people seem to be having tracking issues. There seems to be a variety of causes and fixes. What fixes it for some doesen't always work for others.
So far the main reported ones are:

Headblock rocking on the top of the mast, possibly caused by overtightening the Jesus bolt. Epoxy or cyano it.

Bearings being a loose fit in the mixing arms and/or blade grips. Glue them in with a few tiny drops of cyno.

Self tapping pivot screws fitted squint. Fit them in straight.

Poor paddle and flybar alignment. Make sure the paddles are parallel and aligned with the cage, the operating rods are the same length and the washout levers are both level at the same point on the collective.

Bendy and/or distorted control arms on the blade grips. May be worse in hot weather when the plastic softens. Cut about 3mm off the end of the arms and remove the ball links when storing the blades in the boom caddy. This was my issue and fix.

If all this fails, try reducing the headspeed to about 2700-2800. Most (not all) people experiencing problems seem to be running over 3000rpm. The heli is still quite agile at the lower speed: it's only below about 2400 that it gets really stodgy.

Hopefully one or all of the above will sort things out for you. If not, you'll have to get some metal bling. I now have a set of metal blade grips on mine which have made the tracking perfect, but these have an issue with the thrust races. Hopefully TT will resolve this before they go on general sale.

          Nice post mate very informative.
I have had mine about 2 to 3 months.
I hover it to death every chance I get & have had no problems yet.
I guess though you are always going to get a friday afternoon kit
that gets into the system. Either that or these helis that
have had problems havent been put together that well.
As to the headspeed issue how do you know what it actualy is?
I don't own a tacho but my mate does & it only goes upto 2k
which is well below what you recomend I guess I can calculate it
roughly but it isnt always accurate is there a micro tach that does upto 3k?
