It will save you £££ and I mean hundreds. For getting your orientations sorted it's as good as it gets, realism will vary from review to review. It's worth every £70, never regretted buying it and you should deffiantly go for it.

        I use Realflight and Phoenix.

Phoenix with the new simstick is a great combo

The product: It's the best investment you'l ever make in the hobby, mate. It's got a few faults but then that's quite negligible when you compare to its benefits. The more you sit on it and practice the more the benefits you will observe.

I bought it and at first just could not get on with and for a little while thought it was a waste of money.

Then I gave it another try and have found that it is worthwhile, dont try and fly your own model as it may well not act as the real thing does but find a model that 'feels' close to what you are flying regardless of what it looks like and then things start to make more sense.

I must confess I do love flying the occasional plank on it too, great fun and a bit of light relief from helis which I still find bl00dy difficult.
Pico z * 2 (I know they arent 'proper' helis but they are to blame)
MCX - Got bored after a fairly short time.
MSR * 2 (my current favourite)
                      SR -as yet unflown

very good if you use it responsibly.

pretty useless if you buzz around the sky where the heli wants to go and fool yourself into thinking it's 3D

surprisingly hard work if using it "correctly" (in quotation marks).

Gravity kills is an ardent supporter
of phoenix. Whilst in corfu he was always
first to the breakfast table he would have often
already have spent an hour on phoenix and
his laptop often was waiting on a spare table for him.
I reckon he got at least 2 hrs in a day during that week
and I can vouch for the effect it was having on the flight line.
He would learn a move at breakfast pefect it at dinner time
and he would have done it for real by teatime.
Phoenix is a massive learning tool use it and you cant
                            fail to improove your flying.
