Well I sold my Knight pro for 130 so yes....

The Knight Sport just make sure you get someone to help you with it. Here you will find those that love it and those that don't.

Knights are cheap for spares as well, They are a 50 size machine

£100 or £50 2nd hand on a fixed pitch is worth it to see if you like helis and have some flying time while you save up !! Out it on E.B. whenever you want and get half of your money back! Parts are so cheap if you do need some after a crash.

Next step if you like what you are doing, join a club, save up and get a cheap all up 30 nitro and someone from the club can look it over for you and help.

You said you have some money, but for nitro and the club please remember:-

club fees and insurance will be say £90, all up heli with Tx £350, fuel £18 gallon, starter battery etc say £50. I would say you need £500 to kick off with, transport and time. If you can go this way and sure it is what you want go for it !!

wow heli's are so complex lol think im going to go seee my local club this weekend and have a look. after what martin said about the nitro im gonna save up i never really like the idea of lectric cos i used to race rc cars and i hated it cos when u just got into it , the battery goes flat and u have too recharge and wait. i did used to have 5 batterys but stillo my nitro car would last as long as all my batterys put together.

I totally agree with Martin if you have access to an indoor venue a twister or Honey Bee is a good starting point. Things that get broken are cheap often the control links will split the center hub shoulders snap and you may damage the tail boom. You can buy a meter of 5mmOD,3mmID carbon tube from your local model shop for approx £4.00 this will make you three boom's. If you take your time and learn steady This will get you going. Also you can fit a longer flybar with the weights out to the end's don't go mad only increase the length by 10-15mm make sure it all balanced correctly get some one to help and you will have a very stable little heli if you get a second hand one look for one with lipo batteries and a simple charger. I have a Twister that flys so smooth you can hover for several seconds with out making any inputs I keep this to use in our local club in south cheshire to help people like your self.If you are interested I have A honey Bee fixed pitch model in it's box as original but with 3 2s 1000mah lipo's and a JP charger because this is a forum I won't talk about my business unless asked to avoid upsetting things the heli as come back because a customer has bought another model from us the Belt cp.Just E.mail me for details

Twisturion, glad you like my thinking ! This past winter I have hired a small hall and about 8 of us have split the cost.

I have had great value from my Twister FP heli and the twin rotor ones this past winter, so they still have there uses even when you have moved onto 50 size nitros and larger scale helis !!
