Wierd thing happened today

Was out flying my cp3, everytinhg was fine, weather was still.
Had it hovering great, all of a sudden only from about 3ft off the ground with training gear on, the heli suddenly dropped and the rotors had chopped my new carbon fibre tail in half.

I throttled down and the servos were still twitching like mad, like someone else was controlling it.
Only way i stopped it was by pulling the battery. Im really gutted now. It definitely was not pilot error either.

Any help?

any chance of some pics of how you have the electrics laid out. is the heli on 2.4? it might have something to do with the carbon boom as i change the boom on my 450sev2 to a carbon boom and it developed a glitch

Ive uploaded some pictures, hopefully its what you need. Its 2.4ghz so it shouldn't be that.

Everything on the cp3 is stock, only thing that wasn't is the carbon fiber tail and rotors.

Why would it cause a glitch?

is that the esc right next to the rx? i would mount them away from each other. id would try and put the esc on the side of the heli at about the middle of the battery like the belt cp. check the cyclic servos 1 by 1 because i had 1 bad servo and it made everything else go crazy and glitch. id also put an original boom on it aswell for now untill you get to the bottem of the problem

can you see where the esc is on that belt cp? well mount it like that but above the front skid brace if you can so you have some distance between the esc and rx.

I would take a punt at static build up or Rx/ESC proximity.

Did you have a wire strap between the boom and body, to discharge static?

You state that the only thing not stock was your new carbon tail. A belt running inside a carbon tail boom will produce a big static buildup. Did you lube the belt with silicon spray or oil as this will help prevent the static.

Almost definitely the issue was ESD to the electronics.

Ive just tried my transmitter on my heli to check the servo's and it wont bind with it. So i take it that the reciver is dead?

Right then, now i know the receiver is dead, is there a chance i could change the setup with a different 3in1 and receiver?

Any advice?
