  • Still in one piece

Well just made it to three flights and the helis still whole. Also managed to do a couple of piros.
Got the tail working a lot better by turning off the gyro menu in my dx6i and using travel adj.

The thing is I'm not sure whether the settings in the gyro menu were conflicting with the end point values.Has anyone got any opinions on this?

In case I forget to thank anyone Thanks In advance

Yep your right to set gains in 'trav about 70% or less then flick the switch to switch of HH then make sure tail slider is centred & servo horn at 90' then she should be bang on.
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

Well done Jim three flights and down safely, you'll find you go home intact more & more often as the experience grows.

Bloody great feeling though isn't it!!!!!!

Yes its the best feeling I've had in a while,I suffer from depression which this hobby seems to help a bit.

Now that I'm setting gain in trav hh mode has changed from having the switch up to having it down.Is there any way I can put hh mode back to having switch up.

Also I was told to hover in rate mode and move the slider until I can get the heli to hover without giving any rudder. Now I'm being told to make sure the slider is centre which is correct?.I cant get the heli to hover in rate mode without having the slider almost all the way to the left.

When I'm setting up in rate mode Should I put the gain for rate to 50%?

DX6 you need to inh' gyro then with your gain switch set to of for 'HH' then in travel adj 'gain' set to 70% to start of with then your notice each time you connect the battery the tail slider will relax to one side then if you flick the gain switch to on the slider should centre if it didn't then move the servo or linkage to centre the slider but also check servo horn is at 90 to the servo.
When you spool up gain switch in off = HH if tail wags then lower gain abit at a time, once tail stops wagging then your a out right but don't go below 25%.
