  • Heres another daft question

Hi,I'm not sure if I've been setting up my gyro properly,it a gt400 from wwr.Should I be using the Gyro menu in the dx6i or should I be using the travel adj menu to change the gain?

The reason I'm asking is I've just been watching a video and I'm not sure what I should be using
In case I forget to thank anyone Thanks In advance

So should I just put the Gyro menu to INH.Could this be conflicting with the gyro settings in trave adj?
In case I forget to thank anyone Thanks In advance

It's a matter of choice. I use the GEAR port on my Rx for the gyro gain lead, inhibit the gyro menu in my dx7 and use the GEAR travel adjust menu to alter the gain.

It's just a personal choice thing...

if you dont inhibit the gyro menu then it is controlling the gain and not the endpoints .. horses for courses .. personally I use endpoints and inhibit the gyro menu but its whatever way you want to do it at the end of the day

Disabbeling the gyro menu seems to have worked.Just been out for another flight and all went perfectly.I disabled the gyro menu the set the travel adj to 60% an the tail held better than it ever has.Dont know whether the gyro menu and the gyro in travel adjust were conflicting with each other though, could someone give me their oppinion.
In case I forget to thank anyone Thanks In advance

According to my crib sheet (Spektrum DX6i crib sheet - RC Helicopter Wiki) a value of 60% in the gyro menu will be a gain of only 10% (hh or rate, depending on what way it goes), compared to the 60% you have now set using the endpoints.
