  • First real hover with the 450

Hi,I've just had my first full battery hover with the 450,even managed a bit of movement across the neighbour garden.Thought about trying a piro then thought I'll just keep the heli in one peice for the minute.

Got the tail sorted,I think, the tail will stay where I put it for about 5second then slowly starts moving anticlockwise.
In case I forget to thank anyone Thanks In advance

          Well done!!!!!

Review your tail setup, and be more pedantic. Make it as accurate as you can.

tried for about an hour to get the thing tohover without moving in rate mode, but no matter how much I adjusted the tail servo It still wanted to drift slightly in one direction or the other.

Going to upgrade the servo this week see if that cures it.

What does pedantic mean, ever heard it before.

Next step is to buy the electrics for the shuttle plus,I've had it for almost three years with no electrics in.

Well done, just keep ploding along, every one had to start at the beginning in any disipline and when it goes tits up whick it will after the dissapointment just strip it down and rebuild it from there and very step you go is a feather in your cap.

Good luck and the very best.

                        Marty.

Just had another flight.Thought I'd go a bit higher,so took it to about the height of the house, found it ok but felt a bit odd looking up at the heli.

Still a bit tail heavy as well, tried the electrics in all sorts of positions.

Congrats from someone only a few battery packs ahead of you. It's a fabulous feeling. I was shaking like a leaf after I landed it but after then the confidence and control and just "feel" improves exponentially. I've posted a couple of videos of my first and second days over on the video page if you want to compare
