  • Some help Please

I have recently bought the Honey Bee Cp3, went out and had a play with it today. Was enjoying it, took it steady with it as its my first time, but, nearly had a bad accident.

The heli was on the ground, and i started to increase lift, it was struggling a little bit (like it didn't want to lift) then all of a sudden flew up in the air. Thankfully all is good apart from a rough landing.

    Anyone got any answers?

Hi ian Are you using the radio that came with it?? also are you 100% it wasn't pilot error like a slight harder push of the srtick than actually needed?? easy to do when learning

Sounds like the swashplate (or something connected to it) was sticking?
Make sure everything can move smoothly and freely.
You might want to oil the main shaft as well, to keep it smooth

      Cheers,
      Rob

I thought it was me, but im certain that it wasn't. I was gradually increasing the throttle at the time and thats when it happened. Scared the crap outta me,

Im using the transmitter that came with it, battery's were fully charged.

I'll try what rob said and have a look see if there all moving smoothly.

          Thanks Chaps.

If it's anything like the cp2, then it's probably the old "sticky collective" problem (google cp2 sticky collective). This isn't at all helped by the standard radio which gives you very little collective variation, so when it finally does decided to shift, it'll be difficult to get it back under control, too.

Looked at the heli, checked everything over and everything seems to be ok, and moves freely. So maybe it was me that did it.

I have decided though to buy the CNC main rotor head for it, did allot of research and its meant to better, plus it'll be stronger.

A question though, can you put a head locking gyro on it? I'm finding it very unstable, maybe i just need to keep persevering with it.
