450 clone setup

hello one and all, ive just finished putting back together my new heli...dont know of brand, might be a hk or exi but not sure what version. why cant you buy them in kit form any more...you are always told to check all screws an artf models and this means a basic rebuild anyway, and i always think you get a better understanding of what goes on if you build em yourself ( im an old balsa basher )...but anyway..i digress.
i need help on getting -2, 5/6, 9 on the pitch in normal mode..i'll worry about the other modes when i feel more confident in the hover, because at the moment i cant get rid of the 10deg neg pitch, i only want to be able to hover at 80 power as a new motor im getting packs a punch that i dont require yet and i dont want to dig my new heli into the ground if i panic, swash-plate is level and the servos are set at 90, all seems to be nice and straight, had a bit of servo 'bump' not bind at bottom travel but found that pitch and throttle curves were not matching each other...have tried adjusting the PL ( full low stick ) but it does not seem to increase the pitch from almost -9 to anywhere near -2. just noticed the fly-bar is not absolutely level, will sort this out but i dont think this is causing my trouble. i am probably one of the last few flying on 35meg, have never had any probs, tx is an sanwa rd6000 super with a hitec hfs-06mt rx, gyro is a gaz-126, speed cont is a 45amp flight tech (yes i know its big, but its what ive got atm) and i trust all this in my planks 110%

I take it you have tried lifting the bottom point on the normal pitch curve to around 30%.

Probably worth a re-look at the CCPM setup vids on Helifreak. The suggestion is that you set up the head at mid-stick on IDLE UP for zero pitch, with all head components etc level, servos ~90 degrees. Then adjust the swash mix and ATVs to get around +/- 10 degrees of main blade pitch.

Then set your NORMAL pitch curve at something like 40/45/50/75/100 [which will give you effectively corresponding pitch angles of about -2/-2/0/+5/+10 degrees].
NORMAL throttle curve would be like 0/55/75/85/95 for higher head speeds.

By the way - I suggest you take the main blades off, peg the heli down and take a good walk round your 450 doing a range check with the motor turning and stopped (don't give it too much juice without the blades on). 35Mhz is a bit of a nightmare on a 450. you must try to get the ESC stuff as far from the rx antenna as possible, keep all the servo wires away from the ESC stuff too. Be sure you have the ferrite ring on the wire into the receiver from the ESC. All the anti glitch measures have become a bit of a lost art now we have 2.4Ghz!
I'm sorry to say, first upgrade should probably be 2.4Ghz gear!

thanks to all, concerning 2.4GHz gear, i hear what you are saying but cost prohibits it, i would have to buy loads more stuff if i went down this route, sadly, just cant afford it yet...have not done a field range check yet, but have already ticked your boxes about ferrite bead, cable routing and location of hardware..Rx in nose under lipo, esc is under the main gear all seem to be as far away as possible.
so far i have been trying to set up in normal, not idle up, also as i have never used my rd6000 sport on a heli before this is a new twist to me, i shall go and potter down my double-glazed shed with its hammock and kettle and round a few more annoyingly small and poor quality cap nuts off in my intrepid quest for rotary pleasure lol
