A final post for the night to update my progress!

I couldn't get it to start after 2 hours and I have given up for the night, it was almost as if it wasn't getting the fuel inside the chamber, it didn't look like any fuel was travelling through the tubes when I was trying to start it.

It is a bit off putting to be honest but I am going to see if I can take it to my local hobby shop and see what they think.

Any help troubleshooting this would be appreciated.

I think one of the core questions I needed answered got lost in my frustration above there:

I am going to try and start it for the first time this evening but I am having a problem with this piece of kit:

I am having to REALLY push the hex starting pole into it to get it to sit and even then it is off balance, is there a trick to this? Surely you don't just jam it in there?

It was throwing the hex tool out at some speed, pretty lethal

I presume there's some trick to it, but I never got it. I ended up buying a Robbe starter shaft (secures to the starter motor itself) and life was easy after that. Did I mention this hobby is a money pit?...

With all due respect, you really want to get some hands-on help. A misconfigured 30-sized heli can make a mess of you very quickly if you don't know what you're doing.

Oh how I know that last part! There doesn't seem to be much action in my area for helicopters I have contacted some local clubs but am yet to receive a response. Bad times.

            I'll keep at it though
